Ms. Chen is a passionate pianist, collaborator and music educator, holding a Master degree in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, under the guidance of Professor Joanne Polk. Her passion for music education led her to pursue a Doctoral program in Piano Performance at Pennsylvania State University, studying with Professor Christopher Guzman. From the early age, Chen received a comprehensive musical education in Taiwan, and graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts for her Bachelor degree in music performance, major in piano and minor in violin. Studying under her tutelage of renowned professor such as Yueh-Ling Lee, Chiu-Tong Hsu.

Throughout her academic journey, Chen actively engaged in various artistic and cultural activities, participating in concerto and chamber music competitions, attending masterclasses, and presenting solo recitals. A highlight of her musical journey includes being awarded Merit in the College A Piano Group at National Student Competition of Music in Taiwan in 2012, attending the Interharmony International Music Festival in Italy in 2013, receiving guidance from the esteemed Professor Marian Hahn. 

 

After completing her Master's degree in 2016, Chen ventured to Singapore, joining the well-known music school at Aureus Academy, as a full-time piano and violin teacher. During the 2017–2018 academic year, she was also assigned as a piano teacher at Dulwich College International School. In addition to her professional work, Chen remained dedicated to honing her musical development. In 2017, made her mark at the 7th Singapore Performing Arts Festival and Chamber Music Competition, earning accolades for Exceptional Performance under the guidance of Dr. Nicholas Ong.

Returning to Taiwan in 2020, Chen took on the role of piano accompanist for the musical rehearsal of "Chuan Er 4.0" and served as an adjunct piano teacher at Kang Chiao International School Hsinchu campus. During the time in Taiwan, Chen mentored her students through challenging performances and competitions, with many earning distinction or merit. These achievements are a testament to the commitment, hard work, and teamwork that define her teaching philosophy and the learning journey she shares with her students.

With a decade of teaching experience in Taiwan, Singapore, and the United States, Chen offers bilingual instruction (Mandarin and English) in both individual and group lessons. She also guides students in music camps and regularly organizes student recitals. Now based in Seattle, Chen continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians, blending her passion for performance with a deep commitment to music education.
